The project and activities shown demonstrate a range of different projects that SJC has delivered.  The project list is not exhaustive but designed to provide an indication of range, complexity and simplicity of activities.

Extractive Industry
 

Services specific to the extractive industry include:

  • Application and approvals for extensions and quarry development;

  • Advocacy, public consultation and representation;

  • Strategic quarry development and management;

  • Planning approvals;

  • Work Authority extensions, development, approvals and transfers; and

  • Discharge licencing and other approvals.

 

SJC Pty Ltd provided services for a range of quarry types.  Sites and activities include:

 

Seymour Quarry, Vic – alluvial, sand and gravel - redevelopment extension, approvals, development and management of legal and technical strategies for VCAT approval processes, government road licensing, WA extensions, Council, DEWLP, and DEDJTR approvals, risk assessment management to accord with AS 31000

 

Barfold Quarry, Vic – Hard rock quarry, extension and variation to Work Authority and Council permit, DEDJTR, Council approvals, meeting and negotiation with referral authorities, stakeholder management, redevelopment of plans and review of operating limits. 

 

Rockbank, Vic – Hard rock quarry, expansion review, meetings and discussions with Council and DEDJTR.

 

Badger Mine, Luddenham, NSW – Clay Shale, variation, negotiation, preparation and submission of variation for statutory approval.

 

Lake Cooper, Vic – Land and licensing review

 

Land Development
 

Abrehart Road 1,200 lot subdivision - rezoning, design and development plan preparation and approval - formation and management of a multi-disciplinary team to prepare documentation to gain statutory approval for rezoning with a development plan overlay, approval of the development plan, negotiations, lodging to approval.

Rivendale 100 lot subdivision Drouin - Project management, appointment and management of consultant team, preparation and management of planning submission, negotiation and purchase of land, stakeholder engagement, contract management, negotiation authority approvals, management of time and cost, construction tendering, management of presales.

​

Ewings Road, Avenel 54 Lot Subdivision - Project management and delivery of concept, development approval to issue of permit, managed to completion of detailed design for construction.

 

Gardeners Road, Lang Warren South 5 Lot Subdivision - Project management and delivery of concept, development approval to issue of permit, currently managing detailed design for construction, appointed to compliance - current.

Upper Beaconsfield 8 Lot Subdivision - rezoning, strategic design and development project management, financial reporting, statutory approvals, stakeholder negotiation and management to issue of compliance.

 

Construction Services

 

Pakenham 6 showrooms and Office Complex - tendering, superintendence 

management of construction, compliance, time and cost to practical completion.

 

Reservoir Coffee Roasting Plant, Warehousing and Training Facility - superintendence, contract, cost and time management compliance, to practical completion.

Wilsons Promontory, Accommodation Refurbishment - Specification of works, stakeholder management, tendering under government competitive tendering requirements, evaluation reporting , compliance and contract management, approvals, management time and cost to practical completion.

Wilsons Promontory Depot Demolition, Decontamination and Construction - specification of decontamination and demolition works, tendering and appointment, contract management, construction management of workshop, compliance and certification of prescribed works, management of time and cost to issue of practical completion - 2 contracts and one construction management brief.

Gellibrand Costal Park, Playground and BBQ Shelter - Project and contract management, management of time and cost to practical completion.

Parks Victoria, Flood Recovery Works - Asset assessments, reporting, scoping of reconstruction works, stakeholder management, approvals, preparation of construction specifications, contract management to practical completion. Locations included: You Yangs, Lysterfield, Churchill, Wilsons Promontory, Bunyip State, Creswick, Maldon, Castlemaine, Bendigo, Mt.Beckworth, Little Desert.

Campbellfield, Asphalt Plant - project management, identifying and purchasing land, stakeholder management, EPA Work Authority & Council

approvals, importing of plant, erection and commission of plant, construction and design of prefab. office building and workshop, appointment and management of all consultants, contract administration, management of time and cost to operating.

Advocacy
 

Advocacy services include negotiating and assisting with establishing compliance with authority requirements, renegotiation of service and civil contracts, development and management of legal strategy, delivery of large and scale and small scale outcomes.

This form of service is often sensitive and so specific projects are not provided.
